The Show

Finally, it is the day to reward our effort. We have been prepared for the day to shine. A fashion show is not only about the collection and the model but also the make up, the light, the music and the audience. I contact the body shop to help us for the make up, remix the music with IB music student and the light with the school staffs. The show started with the music and light just like we have been practice for hundred times but this time was different, there were people down stage clamping their hands and watch us with passion. It was so moved in the moment, after all the disaster of misunderstandings, discussions and all the mistake that we have made before. I really think this show and the honor is belong to all the people who got involve of this project. I appreciate for all the people how cheers and work with us. I really have a good time and experience of organized OUR fashion show.

Catwalk Practicing

 

We have been practice how to walk as a model since December. Mrs. Ildi is our model teacher that teach us about the walk, the pose and the move. Some of us even didn't know how to walk with high heels and after practices by practices. We need to remember each of the point that we need to stop and pose, keep the leg straight and walk in straight line. Many rules to remember, even though our feet were tired and painful we still make the move and pose. I am very appreciate about the model group and the teacher to spend time and energy with the show. I really think the show is not belong to myself only but the whole group. Keep working girls, we are very close to the end. To be continue... 2/9/2012

梁心怡对中国古典文化和文学有深的认识和理解，她对中国书法艺术有着浓厚的兴趣。在学习过程中，她认真听老师对书法书写时的注意事项，用心体会每一个字的结构，并于书写中实践自己对中国书法艺术的题解和体会。学习结束时，梁心怡展示了其学习成果，她的字慧骨秀风，令人欣赏。

Reflection of Guzheng by Mrs. Luxia

小乖开始跟我学习古筝。从最简单的音符，到各种指法的学习，最后小乖终于能顺畅地弹出一首古曲《渔舟唱晚》了，这种高兴是无法用语言形容的。在学习过程中，小乖觉得最难的部分就是各种指法的互换，明明听懂了，也知道应该怎么做，可是手指头就是不听使唤，常常放错位置，所以以至于一个音符要练习几十遍才能弹出那种想要的效果。比较容易的是，古筝这种乐器天生丽质，只要轻轻拨弄就会发出悦耳的声音，曲调比较容易掌握，所以有时候即使只是弹一些练习曲也会让人陶醉其中，因为古筝的音色实在是太美了。另外，古筝是一种古老的中国乐器，在中国的古诗、古词里常常提到，当小乖弹奏或者欣赏古筝的时候，我常常会沉浸在对这些古典诗词意境的想象当中，这对提高我的文学修养也大有裨益。希望她以后还要继续学习古筝演奏，争取弹出更多更美丽的曲子。

Reflection of Fatshion Show by Mrs. Ildi

Alice did a fantastic job to put together her "Fashion Show" project.

The work was very complex. It started with the design and production of the collection of outfit. I only saw the ready models, but I also realized how much work she put to find the fabrics, organize the production with the tailors and the make up team.

During rehearsals  she was the engine of the group. Alice helped and encouraged the models, she build up great collaboration among the students. She is a real team player.

Alice showed great organization skills on the day of the fashion show too, when the time was fairly limited. Even under high stress, she was always kind to everybody.


OverallI can only speak very highly about Alice's truly successful Fashion Show, I'm happy and proud, that I was part of it.

reflection of football by Mr. Gavin

Over the past 2 years Alice has attended weekly football practice and has been a senior member within our school team. She has improved her skills in many areas and has shown that she is a real team player. She always tried her best in practice and was always on time and attended almost every session. She was a leader within the team helping and supporting the younger members of her squad. I hope she continues to follow this passion in her next environment as she has the potential to be a very good player.
