meeting with Mrs. Ildi

One day I was looking at the college guide in college office and Mr. Paul saw me when i was reading the page of 'fashion design' that he suggested me to meet his wife Mrs. Ildi. Mrs. Ildi is the teacher in our school that used to be a model, worked in a fashion magazine and taught in a model school, she got lots of experience of fashion business that can help me with the show. I told her about my ideas and she gave me some advises, I need to had a plan about when to do something and need to follow the plan properly. I need to contact the companies that I'm going to work with as soon as possible, a long connection will be easier to get the support. I still have lots of details need to think clearly like how many dresses I need, how many models that I'm going to train and for how long,  it was very good and helpful to talk to a professional fashion business person that gave me lots of ideas.

contact with the indonesia designer- Asrtid



Every October to November is Jakarta Fashion week, the designs of Astrid is very interesting and I very like the style. Astrid is a new designer, she graduated from Bandung Institute of Technology, majoring in Textile Design. Her gown characteristics are truly one of a kind. One of her collection combines a glow in the dark fabrics and feminine design. I talk to Ms. Darma after I saw her on the Jakarta Fashion Week official website and ask should we had a connection with her. We tried to contact her through email and I got reply very soon, she is welling to help we with my project and give me some advises as a designer.

meeting with grade 8 'fair trade' project


Grade 8 have a fair trade project that work with serval fashion companies in indonesia, I can cooperate with the students in the project that we are doing merely the same thing. The ideas of the fair trade project is about to have a look book or online fashion magazine that show the company that is fair trade. The grade 8 group contacted the Top shop, Gap, Body Shop and other fashion companies and finding the models and photographer in school. My project is going to be much more bigger but i can learn some experiment form the fair trade project. I had a meeting with the grade 8 that they will help we with the connection with Body Shop for the hair and make up that they already have the connection it will be easier to get the support.

Salamba Sarvangasana- shoulderstand


This the the first time for me to do shouldstand, it is the new yoga pose for me. and I can feel I'm reaching a new yoga level. foe the firs step putting legs on the wall and made it as 90 degree as possible, by doing this pose, the blood will float back immediately that can solve headache. Second step is to push the body up in this stage we need to cooperate with breathe and use the stomach to hold the pose or we might hurt our neck. Third step is using hand to help holding the pose that we don't need to use stomach all the time. Fourth steps is use the wall and push back the body that one leg can be straight, in this movement we need to borrow the energy by the wall. The last step is to raise the other legs and made both of the legs left the wall. The breathing is very important if we don't follow the breath we might hurt ourselves.

Siddhasana-Perfect Posture


The Perfect Posture (whose original Indian name is Siddhasana) in Yoga is suitable for improving a person's concentration. It is a posture, next in importance to the Lotus Posture (Padmasana or Kamalasana), recommended for meditation (Dhyana) and for chanting mantras (Japa).
Note that Siddha means a Semi-divine Being with great sanctity. This posture gets its name because the person performing this pose attempts to emulate a sage who is perfect, a prophet who is accomplished, or a seer who is adept.

We did Perfect Posture for relaxing and concentrate on our breathe. For yoga, breathe is the most important thing, 'no breathing no movements' is the golden rules. We did perfect posture almost of the each class.

back relaxing pose

We often practice this pose after the dead body pose, the benefit of doing this pose is to relax the back area. For first step we need to raise our legs to 90 degrees, fold on of the leg and fall both of the legs to the direction of the straight leg. When going this pose we need to cooperate with our breathe, raise and change the leg in inhale and lay down in exhale. Step by step repeat it about 10 times, better to do it with cushion or might get hurt from the hard floor. 

Gomukhasana-Cow Face Posture



The Cow Face Posture is the pose to relax our shoulder, for first we fold our hands first and one hand from the top the other from the low to reach each other. By doing Cow Face Posture I can feel the pain from neck to shoulder that means the muscles are relaxing and Im doing the right pose. For me, I felt the different between two hands, when my left hand is in the top that I can not reach my right hand from low  property I support to hold the right hand but i only can reach it. In the other way, when my right hand is from the top that I not only can reach the left hand but also can hold it property. The different between my hands means that the stress on my shoulder is not balance, the stress can be decrease by practice the Cow Face Posture often

The pose for lower back


I have been suffered lower backache for a long time, this time I ask Mrs. Alicia to teach us a pose to relax the lower back area. This pose is very useful for the people who sit for a long time that our lower back is stressful. For doing this pose we need to be balance to use the mid-point of the body that is the right way of this pose. For firs step we need to find the balance point and then lay down. More relax of the body can make the pose more into the body and work more property. In the firs time I can not hold the pose for a long time that I felt pain on both of my  legs, but after I practiced  everyday I can find the right point faster and hold it for a much long time. It really work for relaxing my lower back and decrease the pain.

Static Yoga

We tried Static yoga this week, it was a new yoga experiment foe me that we often to poses that need to hold and use energy. In Static Yoga we the only thing we need to do is relax and breath because we don't have any poses that make the breathe become more important. I feel that I can control my breathe more property in Static Yoga that we don't need to hold any poses and can focus on the breathes. The picture above is Savasana- dead body poses, we need to lay down and the only thing we need to do is to focus and control our breathe. The dead body pose is very comfortable that it make me sleep every time I did and I can feel my whole body is relaxing.

yoga poses- relaxing ankles


The design of this poses is to relaxing our ankle. We use our ankle everyday and get hurt very easily especially for girls who often wears high heel. This poses can not be done by everyone, of your ankles are stressful that you can not raise your legs and fold your ankle. The legs can be raise higher by practicing, bigger angle that you can raise means how your ankles relaxed. The benefit is to relax the stress of the ankles and make our walking more comfortable.

Kapalhati in Vajrasana- Bowling in firm pose


we practice this pose several times before, this pose is a relaxing pose also. This pose is very relaxing that we don't really need to hold and use energy for it, but after a few minutes we will feel uncomfortable  in our toes. In bowling in firm pose we press all the pressures in our toes, that all the blood is stuck in the folded part with is the toes, when we relax, the blood float suddenly and it feels very good.
